JAMES COPENHAVER
James A. Copenhaver was born and raised in Charleston, WV. James attended high school in Central Florida. After graduation, James had his sights and heart set on becoming a Police Officer.
DEDICATED SERVICE
In 2005 with over 25 years of service and investigative experience, at the Local, State and Federal levels, James retired from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and was the founder of Copenhaver & Associates Inc. which is located in the heart of Central Florida, in downtown Orlando.
EXPERIENCED
James has become an expert in Criminal/Civil investigations, as he has been involved in hundreds of investigations, arrests and assisted in the prosecution of these cases. Mr. Copenhaver was a sworn Federal agent assigned to the Federal Bureau of Investigations (F.B.I. Task Force), and the United States Marshall Service, where he gained experience in and conducted investigations within the Federal system. While assigned to the F.B.I., Mr. Copenhaver worked Undercover, Investigating Narcotics Violators, and National Security matters.
James was also assigned to the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation, where he worked as an Undercover Narcotics Agent. During his assignment with the M.B.I., where he authored hundreds of arrest warrants, search warrants and title 3 (wire taps).
